My point is that it's not just daemons and creatures from the Outlands that are dangerous to people, normal or not. There are humans, those who practice magic of various forms, that are also as dangerous.
Magitek can be one of those forms if a mage takes a particular liking to combining technology with magic. Especially if they have no ethics or morals to speak of and would gladly take children off the streets to make into their weapon or puppet.
Now, I can understand perfectly about warning people of the dangers of the Outlands, but it's also humans out here that are harming others. Is it fair to color everyone with the same brush when you leave out how awful humans can be to each other?
