Hi everybody! How's exam prep going? I hope everyone is getting enough rest!

Isn't he cute??! ♥️ He's like a little Hachiko v2! 🐕
I've seen him around the station waiting for something, but any time I try to get him to leave he refuses. So loyal! But I'm also kind of worried like
Is anybody taking care of him? I want to bring him food but idk what to get. I've never had a pet before ｢(´へ｀)???
Would buying a bowl and some food for a stranger dog be weird?? I'm not really sure what to do for him...

If you want - well, it seems with my particular condition that I am able to understand and communicate with dogs, so we can figure out who he is waiting for.

At least that's what I think he said. He kind of just barked but he looked pretty happy!

The only problem is he doesn't really wanna leave the station
I've tried to get him to go with me, but it's like he's waiting for someone

We should see if we can coax him out a bit. Maybe he'll go for a walk with us if we take him back afterward.

i read somewhere that albino dogs and cats can sometimes be deaf though. So if you can leash him might be worth taking him to a vet just in case!

Maybe a previous owner or something? Really sounds like you weren't kidding with the Hachiko v2 comment...

I tried to get him to shake and he did it no problem

Huh, that's odd. I wonder what his story is, then.

[ Sure enough, at 8:10, Ren can be found walking toward the station in casual clothes, his bag slung over his shoulder and looking around ]

[ Crouched outside the station is Minako, along with the dog from the picture. Without warning, she suddenly sticks her hand out, palm up. The dog puts his paw on her hand without hesitation. Neither of them seem to have noticed Ren yet. ]

[Ren reaches into his bag and pulls out a small bag of dog treats. Slowly and quietly approaching, he gives them a shake when he is in range of the dog]

Maybe he's an undercover pawlice dog and is on a steakout
If we bring him a steak then maybe he can leave his post

I hope he has an owner. He's a really good boy and I'm sure somebody misses him

Maybe his owner works in town but they can't keep him at home while they're gone
But he would probably have a collar and tags right?

Dunno. I tried asking around but I couldn't really understand a lot tbh

What I did understand is that he's been around a lot the past few weeks

[ The dog keeps his paw in the palm of Minako's hand, but his full attention is on Ren and the treat bag, his tail beginning to wag. Minako glances over her shoulder briefly, before looking back at the dog. ]

Good boy! Go get a treat!

[ The dog barks happily before slowly trotting toward Ren. He keeps his distance at first, sniffing at the air. Someone is playing hard to get. ]

Mm, I dunno. That doesn't seem very likely. He'd probably definitely have a collar if he was owned, especially if he's going to be outdoors a lot. That just makes sense.

[...what. Nope just go with it.]

I will get the steak!! He needs to have it for his job!

And hopefully his owner will come...? What do we do if his owner isn't there though?

I always figured ghosts had specific ties to places but tbh this isn't exactly my area of expertise...

Hmm. Well, it won't hurt to make sure he's taken care of, at least. I might have to stop by the station and see him in person for myself too!

[ The dog slows down as he reaches Ren, taking a few cautious steps before sniffing at him. He looks down at the treat, considering for a few seconds before eating it in one bite. Judging from the way he wags his tail enthusiastically, he seems to like it. ]

That's what I thought too! But he's way too well behaved to be a stray

But if you think it's ok I might get him some treats at least
It would probably look really weird if I just walked up to the station with a bowl

He doesn't respond to any of the names I called him either so that makes it hard

If we make posters, and we try to find his owner, and we can't then maybe it means he's not lost and his owner's not there and we can do something.

If we find out he has an owner, great!

If we find out he doesn't... then we find another way to help him!

[ Ren will drop a few more treats, petting the dog a bit to set him at ease. If the opportunity presents itself, he'll slowly and carefully put the collar and leash on ]

It might look kind of weird, but who cares? Treats should definitely be fine.
