[Which he demonstrates by...doing a backflip ending in a handstand. A one handed handstand, because he's that much of a showy nerd. As promised, the mask stays put...even when he slides it up onto his forehead to see better.]

[ He lives for this, and in the process of the backflip and extra one-handed handstand, Kano whips out his phone and snaps a couple of pictures. It's an old Nokia incapable of 23450984 burst shots a second, but he gets some choice pictures and slips the phone back into his pocket. ]

Wow, amazing~!! Truly amazing!!!! I think we'd do well together, but that's something for another day! It's piggyback time, pig~gy~back~

[Is he striking an upside down pose for the camera? Yes, yes he is. Normally he doesn't care for spontaneous photography, but he is putting on a show here. But alright, time to get back on his feet. He lowers himself on his one hand before pushing off the ground and doing a twist in midair, landing neatly on his toes and then settling down to stand normally.]

Alright, where to?

[ Someday, these pictures find their way onto the internet and Kano is a couple hundred euros richer, thanks. ]

Hm, hmm~ If we're testing how much weight you can carry, having cushioning around would be the best, don't you think? Let's go play in the mountains~

[They'll sell easily if you can find his fansite.]

Are you sure you're not just looking for an excuse to have someone carry you past the snow?

[ He definitely did and that's definitely what he's going to do. ]

That depends~ Am I going to need a better excuse to have somebody carry me past the snow?

[Prepare for a bunch of fans asking where Akechi got that outfit swooning at how regal he looks in it.]

Hmmm...no, you're actually pretty lucky. I happen to like the snow.

[ lmfao he will use that as leverage to get all sorts of information, fans know a scary amount of stuff about people they're obsessed with. ]

Haha, that's a first! Alright~!! Do your best to keep me out of it~ I'm counting on you~!!

[They do. Have fun learning his birthday, favorite foods, hobbies, blood type and ideal vacation. Apparently he wants to see the world. Interestingly enough, though, he'll just get a bunch of 'I wish I knew' responses to questions about his home address and phone number.]

I don't care much for the heat, but I'm good with cold. Anyway...

[Lowering himself so Kano can reach his shoulders.]

[ Amazing. There isn't anything he can do about a home address, but a phone number is something he can definitely tease with and use as leverage. I'll drop something into Akechi's inbox on his birthday as thanks for all this.

Anyways, Kano goes around behind Akechi, but instead of throwing his arms around Akechi's shoulders to hang over his back, he goes right ahead and sits on top of Akechi's shoulders and expects to be hoisted up into the air balanced like that. He's going to be so tall!!!! how exciting ]

[Sadly, none of his fans actually know his contact information. Apparently he has his number unlisted...

Well, if Kano wants to sit in the precarious spot. Akechi does easily lift him up, holding him steady at the knees.]

You'll have to watch your head on the way out.

Whoa~!! Alright, alright, I'll be careful, so you do the same!!

[ Until they get out, he ducks far enough that he can keep his arms folded on top of Akechi's head instead of properly gripping his shoulders for support. As long as Akechi doesn't start running, it'll be fine. ]

[He doesn't have any intention of running with a passenger. The weight doesn't seem to bother him at all, though, even up the stairs and on the way to the edge of campus...]

[ It's surprising for Kano, because this is the sort of ease he'd only expected from Rex, who is freakishly tall, or Nana, because of her Flame— Akechi had mentioned his Flame too, but while Kano doesn't know much about it, it's easy to be enviable of somebody who's physical parameters are that much higher for it. He'd be able to prove Yuya wrong about the bike, if that were the case.

Up the stairs, to the edge of campus... ]

Ah- turn left here! Over here and off the path until you get to that large rock...

[ The mountains are mountains, his playground for the past three years, so of course there's somewhere specific he wants to direct Akechi. One of his out-of-the-way "hideouts," empty as of now, but a place where the mountain walls it in and cuts off much of the world, a tiny little place set out of the way. ]

[It's actually kind of fun, to be using his powers for something silly like this. He's only ever used them for serious things before...either one of his jobs, or training to be more powerful and thus more valuable, while getting some much needed extra income on the side. This, just using them for something as mundane as helping someone else get up a mountain without having to deal with piles of snow...it makes him feel almost like he has value that doesn't involve hurting people.

His good mood has him seeming to pick up energy as they leave campus, and he follows the directions without complaint. The way he's looking around, it might be obvious he's happy to go off the beaten path.]

I haven't gotten around to exploring this area yet.

[ On the flip side, there's Kano only using his powers for silly things... openly, anyways, not saying anything about what happens behind closed doors. It's a more global approach to practicing his skills, hat tricks that they are, while progressing his goals-- and this is part of it too, laughing when he hears the cheer and curiosity in Akechi's voice and wishing Akechi would take off that silly mask so Kano could better see his face. ]

There's not much out here, but if you ever need a guide, I know all the best places to hide out in~

[ It's horrifically easy to get lost in the mountains where everything is white on white, but if it's hiding... the best places to camp where the rock blocks out the screaming wind, the best places with elevation enough to see the campus but not allow anybody to see you, places just off the path where you can hear people coming but not the other way around, he knows them all. ]

[It's still pushed up onto his forehead, but honestly the length of the beak means it's still pretty obscuring from above.]

I might have to take you up on that. I never really got to go exploring mountainous areas back home, despite living so close to Mount Fuji. It's one of the things I was excited about when I learned where this school is.

[ From Kano's disappointingly limited knowledge of Mount Fuji that he can only picture as one single mountain on the back of a postcard, it's too famous a mountain to ensure any privacy, and too seemingly simple to play around in. These mountains are different, with the three years Kano's had them as his backyard; hiding in the valleys, laying in ambush on little paths up towards the peaks, it's where he played hide and seek with his guards, and he got very good at not being sought. ]

Hehe... Most people get all excited about the buildings or the food, but the mountains and forest are where it's at, isn't it? Places like these are ruled by nature, not any one person or entity~ In that way, it's a bit easier to breathe out here.

It's very different from back home. Inokashira Park is a nice place to get away from the city, but it's still fairly tame. It's not really the sort of place you go to make new discoveries...maybe it's my inquisitiveness as a detective speaking, but I've always loved finding new places that you're not going to find in any sort of travel guide.

[That...and those places are less likely to be packed. The more obscure a place is, the more likely he is to have the privacy to just relax and breathe, without having to worry about appearances or people demanding his time and attention.]

[ That's exactly why Kano likes the mountains, even when he has his own bedroom at the dorms. Inside, everybody knows where to find him, but out here... out in the mountains, when it's dark at night and it's a particularly windy day, he can stand in the middle of nowhere and scream and his voice will be lost in the wind, unseen and unheard, and sometimes that's relieving. ]

Hm~ I dunno that park, but those sorts of places are still pretty crowded. Does Mister Detective have a good sense of direction and can lead us home if I show you someplace cool?

[ He directs Akechi a little bit further past one of his hideouts, though the path they're taking is still easy to walk on, Kano having mapped out the best way to go where. Maverick has Kano's map to the mountains with these sorts of paths somewhere in his and Akechi's bedroom, presumably, unless he's throw it away. ]

I've made a hobby of exploring Tokyo, so I'd be in trouble if I didn't have a good sense of direction.

[Not to mention Mementos, but the specifics of the cognitive world are best kept to people he or Ren know well. For the time being, it's best to just pretend his experience in navigating is purely limited to mundane geography.]

Hm~ You're from the big city, huh? I'll be counting on you, then!

[ The place he leads Akechi... is to a river, the flow constricted to a trickle no more than ten feet or so across before widening again on its descent down the mountain. He and Yuya almost drowned in this river once; it wasn't a fun experience. ]

[He looks it over, smiling faintly at the sound of the stream. It...really is different from anything he's seen in Tokyo. Peaceful, without the underlying tension of knowing there's a bustling city surrounding the small patch of quiet.]

It's beautiful.

Isn't it? Here, let me get off real quick--

[ He says this while leaning backwards... just let him topple off your shoulders or something, Akechi ]

[Okay then...he lets go of Kano's knees, holding still while he...does what he's doing.]
