[Boo... Shuuya is better and has more glimmer about him, but...well, maybe Kano is the same and is stronger when he's bigger. Wist hops down from the desk, shakes like a dog dispelling water, then shifts back to their usual form. The arm is still healed!]

[Poe sighs and gets to his feet with a sleepy scrub at his blood- and peanut butter-covered mouth. Borrowing Wist's form will be better if the other two end up needing his help, so...raggedy and lanky it is. The two hover nearby, Wist bouncing gently and glancing between the doorway and Kano.]

Close! Y'rhia, so when it's next to Wist...it's like wisteria! But different!

They'll see I'm working really hard, right? I'm going to help take care of people! All the children! They even want to pay me to do it, when I was going to do it anyway.

[ Kano stares back at the two of them, hands on the edge of the door and standing there waiting. He is not any stronger when he's bigger; if anything, Shuuya would have dragged this door out the hall himself, inch by painstakingly slow inch, without even the thought of asking anybody for help. Unlike Kano, who doesn't even make an effort to lift the door off the floor. ]

Okay... The game starts now!! When I say "help," I sorta meant help lifting this door out of the building! When we get it outside into the forest, everybody gets a hotel mint!!

[They...still don’t move... Poe sighs.]

Wist, I believe requesting help outside the room counts as an invitation, under these immediate circumstances, especially when coupled with the gesture.

What? Really? Really, really?! [They whirl around in disbelief...then tentatively go to step outside.] Woah!! Wow! You’re right!

[Delighted by this development, they skip over to the door and lift it, placing the flat of the door on top of their head.]

[ Oh... Okay. Kano lets Wist take the entire door, digging into his pockets to find the promised mint and toss it up and down in his hand. Onward and outwards... ]

Just outside, over by the trees will be good~ Do I have to be more specific about invitations? Do you not often get invited to things to know?? How sad!!! I get it, I get it, I'll be more clear~

Kanata knocks on the door two times before bending over to try and peer underneath the door. )

[hnnngh this really would be easier if they weren't working on an empty stomach, but at least the rude boy has promised food! He always smells vaguely like food particles, so they believe in him.]

Ah... Okay, okay. I can do that! [They don't sound super psyched about it.] Heh... Yeah, you get it! No one ever invites me at all! It's really hard to get places... Everyone puts so many doors everywhere!

Their voice comes from inside, not far from the door, which remains stuck.]

[ Wist had some peanut butter, they'll be fine, maybe. ]

Okay~!! [ Kano goes ahead and leads the way— the least he can do is open the doors for Wist, going down the stairs because elevators are fake and don't exist. ]

So you're sorta like a vampire! Nobody invites me places either and I also hate doors, so I get that~ Locks are a pain and shouldn't exist!

[Not enough peanut butter... Poe got way more, but he's not even doing any work at all!]

Hm? No, I'm not a vampire, I'm one of the faefolk. [...they weirdly know very little about vampires. They're most concerned about how much of a pain these stairs look like they'll be, though...

With a loud sigh, Wist sets the door down against the railing and leans against it.]

Do I have to carry it to lift it, or can I just lift it?

( Good lord...that may or may not be helpful, since any number of school weirdos would respond like that with no qualms or question. )

Great. But is there someone who can't open a door for whatever reason in there?

[ They're the same thing, and honestly, feys are scarier than vampires that media has taught him everything he needs to know about dealing with.

Kano turns around and echoes that sigh, because they're going to have to do this twelve times and already he's losing interest. ]

Hm~ Whatever's easiest for you!! It's that sort of game: the end goal is to get the door outside, but you can do whatever you want to make it happen! You don't need permission for that sorta stuff, right?

Yeah, you sure are. ( Kanata goes to try for the doorknob, but a question enters his head suddenly. ) Wait...do you know if this thing is locked at all?

( Does he have to...break it down... )

[Hm...! This is true. They might have wanted to adhere to the rules of the game, but it wasn't like they needed to if it was going to be no fun at all.]

Nope! As long as I don't break something, I should be okay. Alrighty!

[Then they're just going to push the door over the side of the railing and then leap off after it. A few feet down, they balance themself on the door like they might a surfboard, floating in the open, and when they're satisfied, they reach their arms up.]

Going down! All aboard?

The door is not locked!

[They made sure. It's pretty much the only thing they could do.]

You can do it! Don't give up!

[ People tend to be like that, thinking they have to follow all these invisible arbitrary rules, but the one thing Kano appreciates feys and daemons for is their interpretation of these rules they're held to but find ways around. That sort of things is easy to understand; if only more people could be like that, standing back and deciding objectively what the simplest course of action is.

Kano hates heights. He hates riding in anything that moves. But he still laughs and reaches his arms up too for Wist to help him onto the door, even though his stomach churns to be leaving solid ground, even though he's been thrown down the stairs before and that wasn't any fun and nobody in their right mind would trust a fey to take them on a joy ride-- but he still gets on and takes a seat instead of standing, legs hanging over the front edge of the door so he can let them hang and kick. ]

Breaking my bones is also prohibited, so full speed ahead~!!

( That's a relief...he really doesn't have the energy to kick it in. Thankfully he does have the energy to grab the doorknob, give it a slight twist and open it.

A mother fucking miracle. )

[Honestly, that was the space Wist wanted to take so they're a little bummed out as they settle for sitting at the other end for balance.]

Poe, you have to walk as punishment for biting me.

[and because they're feeling sulky. Doooown they go, though! The ride is kind of like an elevator in a funhouse, just shy of smooth, and stops finally in front of the main doors.]

Open, please, rude boy.

Wist throws their arms up above their head and claps.]

Yeah! You did it! Congratulations! We're almost there!

( Such a bizarre person. Person? Still kind of thinks they're an alien.

Kanata steps in front of the doorway and scans them up and down. So excited over something so simple. )

It's open now, what more do you need to do? Just step out of it, leave it open.

[ It's the best seat so of course it would be claimed first, especially since it allows Kano to remain facing forward while still having something to grip onto for dear life. He hops off once he gets to the doors and- instead of turning the doorknob- proceeds to take his screwdriver, etc. out of his pockets to work on the hinges. Sorry mods if you read this later and it counts as destruction of property Kano was supposed to have been lectured about; I'm just going to assume the doors grow back or something by the time they go outside and return. ]

Are you saying I can step out of it? Okay! Incoming!

[Because now Wist is jumping forth to wrap their arms around Kanata in a hug and lift him a little bit off the ground. Sorry that they're tall and strong despite being such a stringbean.]

( The semantics and debatable personhood of aliens is certainly not important. At least, not to Kanata as he's about to be captured and smothered by a giant. )
