[Had there been a previous time? Honestly, he doesn't even know. But with the amount of things he has seen, blight being on campus already, this can't really be the first time.]

Why would they be rattling chains? [Do ghosts just carry those around normally?]

I don't know, I've just been hearing moaning and rattling chains at night since these ghosts started showing up. If Maple were still here I'd think it was her messing with me, but she's not.

Didn't they like to do that kinda thing in classical literature?

I thought that was just something people made up.

You sure it ain't just a prank by someone else?

[The ghost situation does seem to be widespread. There is likely a few jerks taking advantage of it.]

There's not that many people on my floor that would do that. Aube's pretty quiet.

But I guess I can't rule out a prank either. Though it seems like a pain in the butt to drag a bunch of chains around to rattle in the middle of the night.

Chains would be hard to carry around. I guess it would have to be something else.
