Alright, alright, I'm sure everyone's going to laugh but... Mariachi. My favorite music is Mariachi. I just love the energy.

But really, I like a lot of stuff. Classic rock, a little bit of pop, blues, swing, even old folk songs... pretty anything with a good guitar piece. But you already knew I played that.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend too much. I'm about ten years out of the loop for what people listen to these days.

And as for playing my guitar's been recently broken. But! I'm hoping to fix that soon!

Ah! You haven't heard of Mariachi? Oh, niña, you are missing out! Mariachi is the music of my culture, of México. It's been around since the 18th century and still goes on today! Please, do check some of it out if you can.

I don't really know how to do the linky thingie that you all can do yet but maybe for something new you can try Rodrigo y Gabriela's cover of stairway to heaven and check out their original stuff from there. And everyone knows Canción Del Mariachi from that old soundtrack. Pedro Infante's Cielito Lindo is an absolute must of course. And since I'm just bringing up things everyone knows, I'll remind you that While My Guitar Gently Weeps still exists. Or for something french Quelqu'un m'a dit is rather nice.

Sadly, La guitarra had been having a hard week. This loyal girl met her fate under the gazebo in town that collapsed. [Due to a monstrous ghost but details.] Thankfully it didn't fall on my or anyone else's head, just the guitar.

Ha, thank you. It's disappointing, but I've lost guitars before, ones more precious than she. If i can't fix her I'll find a new one somehow.

I would say the thing was pretty old. I can't really give too many details I'm afraid.

Ah. Well. Not likely anymore, unfortunately. It's a really long story but to put it simply most of my stuff is probably gone or destroyed. I actually don't have any of my old belongings right now.

But yeah, I used to preform, a long time ago. Mostly around my old hometown, occasional gigs around México, some up north. My music was pretty popular and all that but I was kind of focusing on... other things too much to even think about marketing and selling albums. For that matter, getting famous off the internet wasn't so big ten years ago as it is now and I wasn't that tech savvy then either.

If there's anything left, my old preforming partner has it but considering everything, I doubt he'd have much. We haven't spoken in a long time.

Hah, well, I did get some replacement clothing eventually. It's a little rough around the edges but no big deal. I've got the uniform now too.

I'll have to see how the repair goes. And if I can work myself up to preforming anything. Maybe if I can play with someone else, that's always fun. No promises, but I'll say there's a chance.

He was my music partner. And my best friend. We had a fight about the tour we were on together but to be honest I thought we'd worked it out. He even offered me a ride to the airport. But some things happened and instead I wound up lost in the outlands believe it or not. Was out there for years. We didn't know what happened to each other, really. Then, quite recently actually, I found out he was where some of my stuff went. And worse. He broke my trust in a rather big way and I am... very angry with him. But there's nothing to be gained from trying to fight him. He's a big shot now and I've got other things to worry about besides his dumb ego. It's pretty crappy to lose a best friend like that, but whatever. Learned my lesson. It happens, I guess.

Being mad at him doesn't have anything to do with you being stuck out there does it?

I'm sure it's hard, but if your friend is someone who broke your trust in such a big way, then it's probably for the best.

Haha, not in one piece and with a lot of help. I highly don't recommend the experience.
But he's got nothing to do with me being stuck out there, no. Unless I blame his crappy sense of direction while he was driving, but we were kind of in a panic at the time so, I don't.

I agree. He and I have no more reason to speak to each other. Though I'm not sure it's more sad to be friends with a bunch of people half my age or for you all to try and be friends with me.
