Well

Sometimes you do things and they have consequences you wouldn't have thought of.

Of course it's better to make sure they don't happen, but you can't predict everything.

Sometimes all you can do is make your apologies and make sure that the same thing doesn't happen twice.

Does that make sense?


[ He's not saying it's fine, but sometimes apologising is all you can do to set things straight. No point feeling guilty about it - it doesn't help. ]
