im sorry........

[To all of those who got dragged in to her little....adventure, unwillingly. It does not make up for everything though. She did not see every memory while pulling everyone out of the rift, but some of the ones she did catch glimpse of were not pleasant, to say the least.]

[She felt pretty bad about it all. As a result, she spent most of the day in her room. No classes today anyway.]

((If you want Puella to have seen your character's memory in the time rift, feel free to just make a mention of it somewhere))

As far as I'm concerned, I do not need an apology, Puella.

But what was that rift all about, anyway?

[She can easily have seen Val's dreams/memories in the rift. Either, or both.]
arcadianvampire: (...Yeah.)

"Time Pieces?" ...I haven't heard too much about those before.

[And that's quite rare. To think, Puella might be able to teach him a thing or two. Students were always full of surprises.]

It sounds like you accomplished quite a feat. Well, whatever does happen, know that we'll support you how we can.

[There's a brief pause before the next message comes in.]

...How did you even discover such a realm on your own? I must say I'm impressed.

[Text can't express Valvatorez's reaction, which is a short, but delighted sounding laugh. Oh, she had wanted to explore and adventure, and by Hades she found a way to do it.]

Well, don't you have quite an investigative nose on you? Exploring the unknown and *actually* chasing dreams.

You're a real go-getter, Puella. I'm proud of you.

You don't have to apologize. I mean, that was kind of unpleasant, but it's not like you did it on purpose.

Yeah, but things happen all the time. That doesn't mean you need to take responsibility for them.

Think of it this way...

Your actions might have caused what happened, but there wasn't anything malicious behind it. You weren't doing it on purpose. It was just an accident, and nobody had to follow you in, so you're not at fault for everything that happened in there.

Well

Sometimes you do things and they have consequences you wouldn't have thought of.

Of course it's better to make sure they don't happen, but you can't predict everything.

Sometimes all you can do is make your apologies and make sure that the same thing doesn't happen twice.

Does that make sense?

[ He's not saying it's fine, but sometimes apologising is all you can do to set things straight. No point feeling guilty about it - it doesn't help. ]

Do you mean you opened that knowingly? What was it?

...well, you would not be the first in the school's history to cause a minor panic over an experiment. Was this some sort of school project?

It was certainly strange, but it is clear you did not intend the result. I hope no one was hurt.

It's alright, Puelita. We're all just glad you're okay. No one is hurt. Our memories were already there.

[There's some time before he replies.]

That's a very big question.

[With what is probably a very simple answer. But he's going to try and explain more than what it could be.]

Life is not always kind. This world can be very hard for very many reasons. Bad things happen and we're left with bad memories. It does not mean that there aren't any good ones or even that we're unhappy now. But bad memories can be stronger, sometimes. They can even be strong enough that they leave something almost like a scar. And so, if we are not careful, it is easier to remember those bad things.

When you are young, if you're safe and protected and loved, then you have less bad memories. That can change as you get older but by then it is thought that it's easier to handle whatever bad things come. For those who don't have people looking out for them, that can mean they have more bad memories sooner and they have to change to protect themselves. Remembering the bad can help them make sure it doesn't happen again, even if it makes them unhappy.

But there are a lot of reasons for a bad memory, at the end of the day.

I'm sorry you couldn't stay longer. Maybe another time you'll be able to try it.

That's where science-y stuff gets involved, I think. It's the way brains work. There are definitely people who get this stuff better than me. But we know things like fear and pain for survival. It keeps people and animals alive as we try to avoid it. A good memory is good but it doesn't keep us alive as well as a bad memory. So, it makes the bad memories bigger. If we want to beat that, we have to argue with our own heads and that can be very hard to do.

As long as you warn people and set things up safely.
