Hey guys, mom send over some snacks, and honestly? It's waaaaay too much for me to eat before it'd go bad, so gonna share the bounty.

It's so good, if you get 'em from the bakery or make it yourself. It's these thin layers of dough, nuts, and held together with honey as it's baked - Mom's version adds some cinnamon and cloves to the mix.

Every country in the middle east will claim they originally made it, it's that good.

See what I mean? Honestly, can't say where my family will claim it's from - Mom does it Armenian style, sometimes adding Rosewater Iranian-style if the stuff's not too much.

Its kind of nebulous about Jordan-Saudi Arabia border - little more into the Saudi side, Dad's been about everywhere before and was the one who introduced us to the different types.

A little bit, but I was in an ESL class for most of elementary school.

Baklava is a lot of layers of dough and nuts stuck together with syrup or honey and baked, there's a lot of different variations and are so good, while Maamoul is a cookie filled with dates, some kind of nut, and sometimes figs, they're both really good - Maamoul is especially good with hot chocolate!

And I wouldn't offer if it wasn't okay!
