I think I'd be more concerned about what else she might have been hiding from me. But if it turned out she really was just the same person I knew, it wouldn't change much. I've never felt like we were anything less than equals.
Granted, I would have some concerns about the dietary needs, but that's just because I'd have a hard time getting a transfusion back home if I needed one.
