how much time needs to pass for grave robbing to become archaeology? like, if i pull a gold bracelet out of a pyramid, i've made an archaeological find. if i pull one out of the common graveyard, i'm a dick. whats the waiting period for looting the dead?

Because without those records it would not be possible to identify whose resting place it was and therefore it would be acceptable to begin exhumation for scientific purposes.

That's premeditated murder and is illegal as well as highly discouraged for a variety of reasons, moral and otherwise.

It does take a significant amount of work to murder a person you are correct.

You should be avoiding it if at all possible.
