HI EVERYBODY~ I didn't think it had been that long since I last seen this campus, but it looks like a lot's changed!

[Kind of hoping none of her old professors are still around. ...That might end poorly.]

I know there's a lot of you I haven't met yet. The name's Kali Coh, or you can also just call me Kali. I heard there's been problems lately with 'uninvited guests'. I'm here to make sure it doesn't happen again, though it is a shame that I couldn't arrive sooner...

Oh, I'm looking after the third floor of the Lumiere dorms too. So if you got any questions or need help, just let me know! I haven't fully settled in yet, but I will be spending some time in the common room if you need me. 😸


[Should anyone decide to go to the 3rd Lumière Floor, Kali was no where to be found. Perhaps you just missed her. There was however a red cat sleeping, lounging, and doing normal cat stuff on the sofas. Did somebody get a cat recently?]

[Becky had seen the post, but she had also not replied to it at that time because she was in the middle of getting ready to leave the dorms to take care of some things. While she was a bit ahead of her schedule, that was to be sure she had time to get where she was going even if she got stopped once or twice along the way, so taking extra time to respond to a post that she could always just answer later would put her at risk of falling a few minutes behind.

While she's on her way down from the fourth floor—taking the stairs, of course, because she refuses to set foot in the elevator unless she absolutely must—she catches a glimpse of the red cat and pauses—because cat. A small number of possibilities run through her mind, all of them entirely possible:
• The cat found its way into the building somehow and is just being a cat.
• Someone got a cat as a new pet.
• Someone got a cat as a new familiar.
• The cat itself is a new resident—and quite possibly the same one that had just posted earlier.

And when in doubt, in a place like this, it's probably safe to assume that the most unusual-sounding option is the correct one. Probably. The girl—looking as much like a child as ever, despite her now being another year older—deviates from her intended path and steps into the third floor proper.]

So... Kali, right?

[....She had been hoping someone wouldn't figure it out right away. Was it that obvious? It was, wasn't it?]

[But she does still try to play dumb for a moment anyway. Perking up and looking confused, but also interested. Tail flopping a bit.]

Hmmmm, maybe~ [It could be just some other talking cat.]

[It could be. Either way, though, that's confirmation that the cat itself is a New Person.

She can still spare a few minutes to introduce herself, so she sits herself down for the moment. A sealed plastic container that she's carrying with her is set next to herself, she's not really thinking much about the fact that she's doing it but the action still leaves her hands free if Kali wanted to do the cat thing and sniff at one or both them.

Which she probably smells of jerky right now; she's been trying her hand at it quite a bit recently. That container probably smells of it even more.]

Rebecca Fulton, tenth grade. [Well, if that wasn't an indication that she's probably older than she looks...] You'll probably see me around a lot, but uh, hopefully not while I'm working; I help out around the infirmary pretty regularly. [To the point that it's started feeling a bit like certain people want her to try doing something else with herself, and her being in the academy's cooking club isn't quite enough.]

[Well of course she was going to come over...to inspect the container. She probably knew there was jerky in there(or had been) before Becky even sat down. And for the moment, that seems to be all that she's interested in.]

Aren't you a bit too small to be working there? [Do not be fooled if the question sounded like Kali was listening. She looks somewhat determined how to get that container open instead.]

[It's an ordinary plastic container, 100% mundane. While the lid is on tight, it's also held in place by a pair of rubber bands as an extra precaution just in case she were to drop the thing while taking it to where she's planning on going.

It would probably be easier to just ask about it; if it's anything like when she does cookies, Becky probably made Too Much and might be able to part with some of it.


Speaking of what is being asked, at least Kali's question is about Becky's size, and not actually her age.]

The staff's made sure that most of the stuff I'd need for anything isn't too high up to reach.

I think I got the RAing part under control, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to learn from someone who's done it longer. It is just watching a bunch of kids, how bad can it be?
