I do not know them, but I have known humans. I have seen the lengths they will go to escape that which they do not want to face, I have seen them tear themselves and others to pieces for a hope of erasing things like despair from the world entirely.
Though would it not be better to embrace it? To accept all that life has to offer means accepting that which is unpleasant, not trying to erase or replace it because of your own selfish desires. Snuffing out those parts of you... What do you have to gain?
