Tell me the craziest thing you've eaten. Doesn't have to be food.

It's definitely not the worst thing I did, just the first thing that really comes to mind right now, but there was this one time I put like half a bottle of hot sauce onto one hamburger. Not like some cheap fast food burger either, it was one of Professor Henderson's.

[Becky's fully expecting that if Lia sees the post and sees this response, she's going to get called out, because that definitely wasn't just a one-time thing.]

Yeah, okay, that's true. You know I can't exactly resist that kind of thing.

Unfortunately, no. It wasn't anything else that would be hot enough to literally melt my face, either.

If I tried to bring in the good stuff now, I think everybody I know would be trying to stop me. I mean, I'm already basically banned from doing SPICY in cooking club, so.

I heard things were crazy around here while I was gone. How can food be the most boring?

I could get daemon-peppers no problem.

[ Hornet ponders this question for a while. What counts as 'crazy'...that means outlandish, doesn't it? ]

The flesh of a beast worshiped as a god.

[ She was hungry and she'd just killed it, so. Waste not want not. ]

Of course not.

I dismantled it for provisions over the next few days, but the flesh came first. [ Given spiders it got converted into more of a slurry than anything else, but details. It made it more portable anyway. ] It would have been a waste of food otherwise.

Sounds like it was worth it. Good meat is good meat. What did it taste like? Spicy? Savory? Heavenly?

[ She idly wonders what 'heavenly' would even taste like. Of course, she understands the implied meaning of the word, but surely the flesh of what would be considered a divinity would have some kind of special quality, just by association.

Not that she wants to particularly try it. But it's an interesting question, especially for someone who hasn't had much reason to ponder diversions before. ]

It was smoky. Spicy as well with additionally a sweet taste

It had multiple flavours, without being cooked or treated. It was very unusual

[ Hornet just out here eating raw meat. It's fine, her digestive system allows for it. ]

And what of you [ "What weird things have you eaten," she means. But Hornet tends to use a minimum of words in any case, and typing isn't her preferred medium. ]

[Fox isn't sure what heavenly would taste like either. He's never eaten a god before.]

I ate blind worm once. Kind of gummy and squishy, but not the good way. Tastes like rubbery ashes.

[Not like he wanted to. Biting the thing was a last ditch effort to get its tail to let go when it was trying to eat him. He was lucky the acidic poison that is blind worm blood didn't get on him.]

The need must have been dire then. Or you have odd tastes.

[ Hornet calls it like she sees it, at least on what little information she's given at the time. ]

That sounds like a compliment. Things are always like that in the Outlands.

Nobody can afford to be picky that much is true

If you live in the wilds at least.

[ She guesses that he's had at least a somewhat-similar experience to her, traveling, living off the land. Her memories of civilisation, when her home wasn't a haunted grave, are faded. ]

If by wilds you mean a desert full of animals ready to eat you, yeah. Food's food.

The weirdest thing I've ever eaten? Definitely grubs.

[They were okay, but not something he'd care to eat on a regular basis.]

Grubs aren't so bad if you roast them. Makes them crunchy if you do it right.

But eating them plain is like eating soggy noodles covered in slime.

I'm pretty sure they weren't cooked. I know there was a reason why but I can't recall it right now.

Blind worm. Negative five stars. Do not recommend.

So, a lot worse than grubs of any kind then.

I don't know. I'm sure an acidic grub that eats flesh would probably be bad, too.

I would hope I wouldn't be alive to feel that.

So different question to get my mind off grubs. What is the best food you've ever had?

Best? I don't know. Food is good. It's food. I'm not picky about it. I like food with a lot of flavor though.

So something spicy then. And I guess that disqualifies anything here.

Yeah most of the food around here doesn't get spicy enough. Demon peppers back home were pretty good.
