He approaches the window, stands beside it out of sight and uses the camera of his phone to look out before he reveals himself.

Look he just doesn’t want to die and everyone here can kill. ]

But it looks like it's just Kano standing there in the middle of a clearing all by himself, pulling his ratty jacket closer around him as he alternates glances between the flip phone in his hand and Rex's window.

He's still waiting for Rex to make the first move come to the window. ]

[ Rule one of being Rex, assume the worst constantly. He’s still winding down from the initial shock of thinking he was being blackmailed.

But... Okay, maybe he’s being nuts. He takes a few deep breathes, thinks carefully and tries to be objective about it all.

So the window opens, Rex immediately leaning on the sill with his elbows. He doesn’t say anything, just gives a ‘go on’ style nod. ]

[ Kano looks up when the window opens, and —I hate that he's doing this but he holds his phone up to his mouth like it's a microphone and starts playing this song, you can't say you're surprised which song it is, he plays it at full blast and sings along with it, as a field of roses magically spreads across the ground around his feet, white flowers on red spelling out

"REX ARANY,

He sings the song through its entirety, just in case there's anybody in the dorms who still hasn't clamped a pillow over their heads trying to muffle the noise, but after that's over and done with, he cups both hands on either side of his mouth and shouts up at Rex. ]

[ Rex spends a moment obviously thinking, rubbing his chin and looking up before he replies.

By turning the 'okay' into a palm down wobbly 'half-and-half' gesture. He doesn't do much shouting, but his hands are big so. ]

He kind of knew it was going to be related to the being asked out, so not much surprise there. There was music, which is always good. But also he's now going to a formal event with this horrible trash imp. ]

[ Alright alright alright, time to gather up the roses... Are these real roses? They're real roses and Rex is getting 32409856 flowers sent up to his room, you're welcome. ]

[ Sounds like Seiji's problem to him, Rex is barely in there.

He does wonder if Kano needs $8,000 a month to pay for some sort of crippling flower habit though. He also wonders just how hard Kano is trying, because the whole thing feels like another of those jokes everyone else gets but flies right over his head. If he had the smallest grasp of pop culture he'd think he's gonna get a bucket of pig's blood dumped on him.

He snaps his fingers a few times to get Kano's attention from the flower picking, so he can give a 'we done here' one-sided shrug and thumb over his shoulder. ]

[ Kano might not need $8000 a month, but who would turn down that sort of easy money? No one's really buying it, though, and he's at least a little grateful for that, that he can rickroll somebody in what might be the last few days he has with his voice (god his voice is going to be gone tomorrow after scream-singing that song)

He hears the snapping above his head but he doesn't look up from his flower picking. Gotta speak up if you want to get his attention. ]

Instead, Rex just drops of the window and lands as if on tiny silent feet through the use of his levitation.

[ Oh- what a cool trick. Kano's always liked the more useful ones like levitation, not like his own illusions which can only make it so that it seem like one is lifted off the ground, when they actually aren't. ]

If you don't take 'em, I'm shipping everything up to your room anyways and you won't be able to use the door! I don't want them!

I don't really enjoy flowers anyway, but I suppose the sentiment is acknowledged.

[ Is he not taking them...? Please, Kano's arms are getting tired holding them all up. I guess he'll just flood the entire floor with them so the rest of his floormates know of Kano's sentiments too, if they haven't already heard it blasting from his phone. ]
