Is that the right answer? Letting them go?

does it matter to you if you make people upset? if it does then you're not really all that happy

there's something about a frog and boiling water
how the frog won't jump out if you turn up the heat slowly because it gets used to it
sometimes people are used to it or decide some other reason to stay but
if the frog wants out, the frog can jump out or ask for help

A character in a book I read a little while ago. They did something bad and were put away for it, but the people who put them away hurt them first.

So I was wondering if the people did the right thing or not.

It takes a promise and eats all the other monsters in exchange.
But there are no happy endings yet.

But no monster makes a deal. And the other monsters live.

A lot of pain.
The deal monster wants to help.
But there is another character who is very close.
They discover this.
But I don't know how much or what they think.

But the people hurt them more.

I think it's because they weren't listening.

Is there a way that both things can happen? That they can calm down, be told they were wrong and then be let go?
