[He steps into the hallway, heading for the stairs and just expecting Orphen's going to follow him without question.]

[ Well, Orphen's following behind him, so that was a good expectation on his part. Granted, he's not as enthusiastically as he could be, but he is walking, even if he's lagging behind a bit. ]

Yeah, you weren't really clear about what kind of offering to bring, so I'm just gonna wing it.

[Toki stops in his tracks at that statement.]

[He holds up his phone so Orphen can see the pink octopus phone charm. It has a bow on it.]

[ He's still operating under the idea that this is some kind of legit summoning ritual, that these guys have somehow turned into a game. ]

If it's new, why are you sacrificing it?

[He stares at the phone charm for a minute, trying to remember how this is supposed to go.]

[He starts up the stairs, but doesn't have any idea if Kano's even in his room.]

[Orphen doesn't seem too interested in the game any longer, and perhaps he's confused about something? Toki's not good at reading people too often.]

I'm not playing any games currently! We hadn't started yet! Did you not understand it was like a board game, only not really like a board board game because there's no board, but you know what I mean! You can't play it in the hallway anyway, you have to be outside! I don't know why, though. I guess Kokkuri-san can't walk through walls like you would image spirits would be able to! Maybe she's weak and that's why you need a sacrifice to make her strong enough so she can talk to people for you!

[ He was trying to give this school the benefit of the doubt, he really was. This was one of the Tower's rivals school, so they had to have some talented students. He wasn't so stupid as to think the students here were completely inept. But right now? He wasn't so sure. ]

[Orphen is giving the school far too much credit. Toki is pretty inept on the whole, and only here because he has a daemon contract and is a Seer.]

No, really, it's a bad idea! It's just the first thing that came to mind because it's the first thing I really did when I got here! We were trying to channel Kokkuri-san to talk to my dead sister and help with some paperwork or something and at the time I didn't know Kano had like illusion magic and he scared me and we fell off the roof and that was kind of a big incident, so you shouldn't get involved in something like that! I'm sorry I even mentioned this whole thing or that I let it get even this far!

[Hopefully, it's sufficient enough for Orphen to walk away without incident and forget the whole conversation.]
