I know it is typical to receive chocolates or simple gifts for Valentine's Day, as it the custom, but did any others receive larger gifts from an unknown source?

I have heard of them, yes. One being unknown does not mean that I would not wish to find out who they are.

They are likely a student as they were capable of entering the dorms and leaving the gift outside my room.

They also put a great deal of thought into the gift so I would believe it is someone I have already met.

And they probably live in your same dorm. Or do students have access to all the different dorms here?
