How do you take care of a cat?

[He could probably google this but y'all are like right there.]

[That is the opposite of fine!]

Honestly, anything that they can bat around or sit in or hide under. Feathers and string are common toys. Cardboard boxes are usually a favorite. There's also a pet store in town, and I'm sure they have cat toys for sale there.

I can't tell if you're joking or not... So I'm going to warn you that cats like to knock things over. They will do it while staring you dead in the eye. They are shameless.

Everyone's covered pretty much everything so far? I'm just going to tell you not to pet the cat unless they let you. Otherwise you'll get scratched

I'm fairly sure that that's the exact opposite of true.

oh.

[Easy enough of an explanation.]

in that case, you need to buy it a lot of toys!! especially the ones on strings. with the feathers. they like those ones best.

...wait, people do that? That's a terriblr idea. Cats need those. Most animals with claws do.

Look, don't remove the cats claws. If they start scratching anything important there are much better ways of dealing with it that don't involve removing bodyparts.

I mean...theoretically? But I wouldn't suggest it. They're small ambush predators, so they're not built for it. If you want them do anything besides be a pet? Let them hunt pests.

Assuming it's a normal cat, anyways. Magic cats? You can throw everything I just said out the window.

You"re assuming they didn't just catch it by surprise.

Even if they didn't, there are people in New Berk who managed to catch and lock up full-grown drakes before we stopped fighting them. And while I doubt the guys who catnapped your cat were Viking Warriors, it's just a normal cat. There's only so much they can actually do.

...you can also try toy mice too.

[But no real ones!]

and make sure it has catnip!
