[Akechi is wearing his prince outfit, albeit with the mask removed and set on the table next to an empty plate. He's chugging a bottle of strawberry soda when Kano arrives, which he puts down to wave.]

You're late.

[It's said solemnly, as if some sort of deadline has unfortunately passed.]

Haha, yeah.

[ Yeah he is, but whatever. The prince outfit gives Kano slight pause, but that's also fine. ]

Are you ready to go? Or is it like the pool thing where you're not supposed to exercise after eating??

[ Is four and a half sushi rolls not enough calories... It was already a generous estimate of his budget. ]

It's fine, I didn't eat enough to cause a problem with some moderate exercise.

[Not with his metabolism, anyway. He stands up and takes the mask off the table, turning it over in his fingers as if trying to decide on something.]

Hmm...their physical strength is fairly similar...one is slightly stronger, but I'm more used to the other...

[ It's Akechi's stomach so not Kano's problem. He leans around Akechi's side, looking at that mask. Haha, it's absolutely ridiculous. He loves it. ]

Can I try it on?

I doubt it would stay in place on its own, but I don't see the harm in trying. I can't imagine it doing anything unless you have a similar Flame to mine, though.

[ There being no strap, Kano simply lifts the mask and holds it up in front of his face before turning to Akechi; it's really hard to see, and really easy to """accidentally""" stab people. ]

How do I look?! Take a picture and send it to me, please~ Your Flame lets your face morph into the mask or what? How do you get it to stay??

[He can't help a snicker at that image, which he covers with one hand. He uses the other to snap a picture and send it to Kano's account.]

It's technically a part of me, so it sticks to my face, sort of like one of those magnetic clips.

[He also had to painfully rip it off his forehead the first time he took it off, but...uh. Not going to point that part out.]

[ Yes!!! This picture's going on this year's New Years cards, Akechi's the best.

Kano pulls the mask off his face and hands it over. ]

[He takes it with a flourish and places it onto his face. Like he said, it attaches as soon as it makes contact and stays put even when he twirls his wrist away from the mask.]

No strings attached.

[ Kano claps his hands excitedly, a round of applause for the trick- and it's gotta be a trick, right? Being a part of his face is too weird a concept otherwise. ]

It won't fall off even with gravity? Can you do a handstand with it on?

I could even do a backflip with it on.

[Which he demonstrates by...doing a backflip ending in a handstand. A one handed handstand, because he's that much of a showy nerd. As promised, the mask stays put...even when he slides it up onto his forehead to see better.]

[ He lives for this, and in the process of the backflip and extra one-handed handstand, Kano whips out his phone and snaps a couple of pictures. It's an old Nokia incapable of 23450984 burst shots a second, but he gets some choice pictures and slips the phone back into his pocket. ]

Wow, amazing~!! Truly amazing!!!! I think we'd do well together, but that's something for another day! It's piggyback time, pig~gy~back~

[Is he striking an upside down pose for the camera? Yes, yes he is. Normally he doesn't care for spontaneous photography, but he is putting on a show here. But alright, time to get back on his feet. He lowers himself on his one hand before pushing off the ground and doing a twist in midair, landing neatly on his toes and then settling down to stand normally.]

Hm, hmm~ If we're testing how much weight you can carry, having cushioning around would be the best, don't you think? Let's go play in the mountains~

[They do. Have fun learning his birthday, favorite foods, hobbies, blood type and ideal vacation. Apparently he wants to see the world. Interestingly enough, though, he'll just get a bunch of 'I wish I knew' responses to questions about his home address and phone number.]

I don't care much for the heat, but I'm good with cold. Anyway...

[Lowering himself so Kano can reach his shoulders.]

[ Amazing. There isn't anything he can do about a home address, but a phone number is something he can definitely tease with and use as leverage. I'll drop something into Akechi's inbox on his birthday as thanks for all this.

Anyways, Kano goes around behind Akechi, but instead of throwing his arms around Akechi's shoulders to hang over his back, he goes right ahead and sits on top of Akechi's shoulders and expects to be hoisted up into the air balanced like that. He's going to be so tall!!!! how exciting ]

[Sadly, none of his fans actually know his contact information. Apparently he has his number unlisted...

Well, if Kano wants to sit in the precarious spot. Akechi does easily lift him up, holding him steady at the knees.]

Whoa~!! Alright, alright, I'll be careful, so you do the same!!

[ Until they get out, he ducks far enough that he can keep his arms folded on top of Akechi's head instead of properly gripping his shoulders for support. As long as Akechi doesn't start running, it'll be fine. ]

[He doesn't have any intention of running with a passenger. The weight doesn't seem to bother him at all, though, even up the stairs and on the way to the edge of campus...]
