[ He's just going to assume the lock is jammed or something reasonable like that, so that instead of trying the knob just in case, Kano gets to work on physically removing the hinges and the entire door itself. It's slow work; he wishes he were taller. ]

How're you guys doing holed up in there? Still got both hands??

[no............the lock is fine, and it's not even locked...but he said he'd remove the door anyway, so it's fine.]

I do! Two hands, two feet, for now. And Poe has the same amount, even if he's ignoring you!

[ Yeah, he's just saving himself the trouble of removing the knob and then the door, when he can just take the whole thing and figure out how to get it out of the building later. It might possibly end up being tossed out the window. ]

Oh, good! But, aww, why's he ignoring me?? Have I been rude to him???? Tell him I said "Hi!" Hey! Poe!! Hi!!!

[Wist would think that's an excellent plan.]

He's just still in the zone, in his net! He's ignoring me, too. Even after I screamed... I screamed pretty good, right? Right??

[ Kano literally didn't exist for most of the time Wist and Poe were here so ??? how was he super mean sometimes, he didn't know!!! Maybe it's just the nature of his existence, yeah, that would make sense. ]

Mm, yep, you screamed pretty good!! But maybe not loud enough!! I almost have the door off-- I'll come in and scream at Poe with you until he says hi!

[You lied to them about motorbikes...and also the only deal he took to let Shuuya out made a lot of people really mad at Wist...]

[ Oh... Yeah. But those were funny things, to Kano. ]

Mmm~ I don't think he'll care, once he's paying attention enough to remember how hungry he is~ And it would mostly be to get you to stop bothering him, anyway. Trust me! I know how his mind works, most of the time! We're best friends!

Hmm, but if he eats my hand, it'll hurt and I'll be screaming a lot more, wouldn't I? And I'll get blood everywhere, and that's even more trouble for him to deal with! The easiest way to get somebody to stop bothering you is to give in and say hi, isn't it???

[ Just give into him... This is why people let him get away with things, probably, it's just easier in the long run. ]

Haha, yeah probably! I would think so! But one time he ignored me for a whole week so he could do an event thing. It would have been the full ten days, but I forgot to bring him a meal! He was really mad about that...

[There's a soft, wistful sigh from inside.]

[ Doesn't sound like good times, but... oh well. The door comes off and Kano carefully slides it over to prop up against the frame. ]

Heh~ You got a big room, too!! Hi! [ to Wist ] Where's Poe? I want to say hi to Poe! [ He lets himself into the room, hi. ]

[!!!!!! never before have they been so happy to see Kano. Shuuya, certainly. Not Kano. They bounce over to his side once he's in.]

The desk! He's deep in the net!

[And sure enough, over at the desk beneath the loft...is a second Wist! This one has his hair up in a monstrously huge bun and is hunched in front of a computer so he can expertly click keys in a way the real Wist could only do in jest.]

Don't say I didn't warn you, because I definitely did!

[ !!!!! Is Kano's reaction to the second Wist, not the third, with a part of him wondering how long it'd take before he could get Wist's features right enough to be a convincing copy too. Imagine, three Wists... ]

Alright, alright, we'll see if your warning was enough!!

[ First, stick his hands into his pockets so he doesn't get them chomped off. Then, he sidles over to the desk and leans over Poe's shoulder. ]

Hi, Poe!! Whatcha doing?

[Wist decides to not follow Kano over. They're keeping all their limbs, yes sirree...

Poe doesn't tear his eyes away from the screen, grunt, or miss a beat in his typing. Have to do more than that to get his attention, apparently.]

[ Huh... Hm...

Kano digs into his pockets and finds half a jar of peanut butter and a popsicle stick, wipes the popsicle stick off the side of his pants before scooping up some peanut butter and attempting to stove that into Poe's mouth. ]

[His nose gives a rabbit-like twitch before he opens his mouth and --

CRUNCH!!

The popsicle stick is bit clean through, chewed up, and swallowed along with the peanut butter. He clicks the mouse a few times.]

Ah! No fair, no fair!! I want some, too!

[Yeah, they've come over now. FEED...PEANUT BUTTER...]

Kano dips the rest of the splintered popsicle stick into the jar and holds the glob of peanut butter out for Wist. ]

If you bite off my hand I'm going to start screaming, okay???!?!

Yeah! Okay!

[They will bend down to meet this offering and proceed to...also bite through the popsicle stick... They chew more amiably, at least.]

Oh, a hint of red flavor...

[ Kano quickly glances down at his hand to make sure that red flavor is some sort of artificial berry, not blood. ]

It's good, right? Protein and fiber and everything, all good stuff!! I have tea bags too! But that sorta stuff is best when we can all sit down together instead of in front of the computer, right, Poe?

[Good news, it was not blood.]

Yeah! Yeah, yeah!!

[Wist is excited, and Poe finally gives some sort of verbal response! He growls the kind of growl a massive wildcat might make if its voice was mixed with a lawnmower and backed by a distant monkey screech.]

You're no fun in the net! It's been like an hour!

[It's been almost two hours, actually, and he's almost done, which is why he's so aggressively leaning closer to the screen and jabbing at the keys.]

Play with meeee~ [Wist jostles the chair as they whine, finally getting Poe to snap bloodshot eyes over and launch himself off the chair to gnaw at Wist's arm. That sure is a lot of blood. With their free hand, Wist gives Kano a shaky thumbs up.] Woah! Ow! Hey, cut it out! Poe! There's food! We're being fed!

[ WHY THIS!!! Kano yelps when Poe goes feral— it might've been a little cute if he were in his cat form, but Kano's just seeing one adult trying to tear off the arm of another adult, and there's blood and even though it's not Kano's blood it makes his stomach twist anyways. ]

Y-yeah!! There's food!! I'll trade you!!!!!

[ He jams an entire fistful of popsicle sticks into that jar of peanut butter and stoves two tea bags inside too for good measure, and tries to shove that into the side of Poe's face to unhinge his jaw. Or something.

Fuuuuucck fuck fuck fuck there's a lot of blood. Stupid, don't just give him a thumbs up!!! Kano takes Wist's wrist and tries to numb whatever pain they surely must be feeling, but also goes ahead and casts that numbing over himself or otherwise he thinks his knees might give. ]

[After another snarl of frustration and hunger, the abomination snack seems to register and Poe unlatches to give a suspicious, slit-pupiled glare. Food? Yes, food. Okay. He snatches the food -- uses his hand this time, at least -- and plops back down onto the desk chair to lick and gnaw away at it without so much as wiping his mouth clean of the bloody smear.

Wist hums and examines their bleeding arm with a fair amount of fascination.]

Haha! It's still bleeding, but it doesn't hurt! That's weird... That's really rude, though, Poe! Even if it doesn't hurt!

[Okay, though, time to close their eyes aaaand...there! With a simple shift of shape, they don't have to worry about their gored open arm anymore. They're a lot smaller and less feminine, now -- about Kano's size -- but their hair is the same dark, fluffy mess, their eyes the same dark pink even if they're backed by light blue sclera, and when they lick their lips expectantly, they have a long, lizardy tongue in green.]

Me! Me!!

You... You what??

[ The moment Wist shifts bodies, Kano drops their wrist and takes a step back, wiping the blood off on the sides of his pants before remembering he can do the exact same thing Wist does (sort of) and illusion that blood away to restore some semblance of cleanliness. ]

Are you still Wist? Wishywashy???

[They give a crooning sort of growl, friendly and curious, before cocking their head to the side.]

Yeah! Why wouldn't I be? Are you still the rude boy? Anyway! It's my turn!
