In the situation where someone attacks you unprovoked while using their power and tries to kick you further when you're still literally on the floor.

When someone is trying to beat you to a pulp, self-defense is justified. Nobody who randomly assaults another person should be surprised by consequences.

The fact that Daybreak Academy as a school allows violent attacks on their own students within its own premises is worrisome.
