I can't say I don't understand that feeling. I knew about magic all my life and I went to normal school until I was 18. It wasn't easy.

So I can't say you won't be lonely when you get home... but you would be safe. Being what it is Daybreak Academy always stands extended risk to being targeted by evil.

I can see their point, being here does put you at certain risks you otherwise wouldn't be.

However... while the defenses here aren't perfect, they are actually present to some degree. Those wouldn't be present in a mundane school, if something happened... which isn't unheard of.

But... I can see why they would be worried.

...do other places get attacked that often? like, sure theres the places we go to that have magic problems, but thats because were asked to!

It's not unheard of. Even a place not usually known to have a problem relating to magic can find itself plagued with a daemon attack or the like should they be especially unlucky.

As a Candle, yes, this is the best place for you to be. And as dangerous as Daybreak can be at times, this is one of the safest places for you to hone your abilities.
