That's the best approach in my opinion as well.

Of course, there are numerous responses to snowy days, but here are a few I would recommend.

The Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Perpetuum Mobile To me, it strikes a balance between the motion and calmness of snow falling. As well as the peaceful sensation of seeing it fall and the worries it will hamper your plans.

City Girl - Time Falls Like Moonlight Like all of City Girl's work, is an excellent album to look out of a window to. The title track is especially suitable to appreciate the way snow makes the world sleep.

Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli - Minor Swing Sounds like how traversing slippery terrain feels. As if you are about to go over at any moment, but never quite tipping- thrilling, in its own way.

Do those suit you?

Alright, alright, I'm sure everyone's going to laugh but... Mariachi. My favorite music is Mariachi. I just love the energy.

But really, I like a lot of stuff. Classic rock, a little bit of pop, blues, swing, even old folk songs... pretty anything with a good guitar piece. But you already knew I played that.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend too much. I'm about ten years out of the loop for what people listen to these days.

And as for playing my guitar's been recently broken. But! I'm hoping to fix that soon!

I don't think he knows clothing can be made of things that aren't leather. This makes him even more amazing in my estimation.

I can link you songs later if you want.

And Takarazuka Revue is an all-women stage group from back home. They put on lots of musical productions and are very over the top!

And there's adaptations of famous novels, American movies, anime, pretty much everything. It's so catchy and showy!

[Then she sends a link to a photo of a stage play.]

Retro stuff. Famicom, Gameboy, ancient personal computers... It's not just game music, there are plenty of artists who write songs on old hardware. It's amazing what they can do with it.

I've got really sensitive hearing which causes some music to just really grate on my ears. Synth stuff doesn't really cause that, though. So it works for me. It's relaxing.

You have got to be kidding me.

Bohemian Rhapsody? We Are the Champions? Killer Queen?

You can't seriously tell me you haven't heard at least one of these before!

Hey, at least you can use the Beegees for CPR.

You can also do that with Another One Bites the Dust, but I feel like Stayin' Alive's slightly less counterintuitive.

Perhaps. But imagine how great it would be to hear someone sing the former while working on the guy.
