So this is the infamous Daybreak Academy...gotta say, the area's changed a lot since the last time I was here.

Well, since it's been a while since I've been around in the human world, and I'm not expecting everyone to be a movie buff, I guess I oughta introduce myself. My name's Alastor, I'm the new RA for the first floor of the Aube dormitory and resident sword daemon. I can't exactly promise I know everything, of course, but feel free to give me a ring if you need advice on something.

If you're just looking for autographs, though, I'm afraid you'll need an appointment. Can't let my movie star popularity interfere with my academic life, after all.

Probably should've seen it coming, considering he only had Sparda's old sword with him when he showed up on Mallet. Still, after a couple thousand years as a wall decoration, I shouldn't have to explain why I wasn't going to stick around for that once I recovered enough to form a new body.

If there was going to be any issue at all, it likely would have made itself evident by now, I imagine.

That's a relief. I was a little worried you'd have a problem with me being here without permission. The last thing I need is Pizza Breath getting tipped off that I'm gone.

If it's any comfort at all, I've only encountered him once in the past five years, and I haven't contacted him since I've come to Daybreak.

[As far as that man's concerned, V was just a helpful, if weird, stranger in the Outlands who had a job to do.]

Doesn't mean you wouldn't press, considering you did recognize me. Guess it'd be pretty awkward to explain that to him, though, considering he think you're dead.

It was difficult enough speaking to him when he didn't know who I was.

[He knows the conversation's going to have to happen but that doesn't mean he wants it to anytime soon.

It needs to happen, just-- just not yet.]

Still, thanks for not raising a fuss. Not that I expect you could destroy this body in the state yours is in, but I still wasn't exactly looking forward to a round four.

I've learned my lesson about picking my battles. Not that there would have been any trouble in the first place--if anything, one who's aware of who you are might even consider it a comfort to see you here.
