how much time needs to pass for grave robbing to become archaeology? like, if i pull a gold bracelet out of a pyramid, i've made an archaeological find. if i pull one out of the common graveyard, i'm a dick. whats the waiting period for looting the dead?

Many of the ancient dead have cursed those who unearthed them, so people say. So I would surmise they still care about their tombs being looted.

well that's just like in the movies! indiana jones dealt with a lot of cursed objects and what not, it's totally likely that there's a bunch of cursed objects in real life too!

sure! if enough people believe it's a 'cursed object' then it'll become a curse!

"Not cursed" does not mean "not dangerous" and you know it! Besides, they could kill you before the meme, too.

but no one was interested in them until someone began calling them the "forbidden candy"! which made ppl want to eat them!

not all curses happen because they want to curse someone. sometimes they just happen!

Tide pods are strangely pretty detergent, but not a cursed object.

they werent created as a cursed object but they became cursed due to memes. society shapes everything! no one was afraid of furbies before ppl thought they were cursed!

I'm sure someone was. Every child with access to movies has one or two perfectly safe films they're terrified of. My neighbour got nightmares from that one about the Russian mice. Toys not intended to be scary must be the same.

yep. if enough people become scared of that same thing, then it becomes “a curse”, even if its the most mundane thing.

I'm still not entirely certain I subscribe to your quantum charm theory, though I know some mages believe something like it. Do you suppose that every grave is cursed, in that case?

i don’t! but the belief of one person won’t change what everyone else thinks.
