I read in a book that if someone's hurt and trapped, you should let them go.

Is that the right answer? Letting them go?

Not knowing the situation, I can't be sure, but I can say that there are many cases where there is no right answer to be found.

What feels right to you? Not what that person would want, not what you think would be kindest, not what you think is "correct." What, of all possibilities, makes the most sense?
