[ Peter looks alarmed for a moment, then - quiet. Not rushing to the Avengers’ defense which is, perhaps, a telltale sign. He’s a little angry at them for abandoning him now. He... hadn’t really put together all the rest of it until just now, but when Héctor lays it out in so many words... yikes. Double yikes.

If they hadn’t recruited me then, I’d still have run into trouble back home. There was a guy who nearly killed me in October - the Vulture or something like that. I’d have fought him whether the Avengers found me or not. And - like, that suit they’d made me? I’d have been dead for sure without it.
