Hey, newbie here with four (4) questions! I'll try to make this short and sweet.

1.) What's the top 5 books in the library that you absolutely have to have read?
2.) How much does the STAR Club actually work with Runes in practice?
3.) Best free time places in Soleil? I'm fresh from the USA, France is all new for me.
4.) Any recently enrolled undergraduates up for a study group kind of thing? Can totally be casual and involve nice cafés etc. I figure I'm not the only one who came here from half the world away and needs to meet new people.

I can fly, though I'm still training it.

YOU CAN FLY? That's so lucky! Flying is one of the most coveted powers of all time, I wish I could do it! I'm a little jealous, ha ha!

As for healing, I'm actually not sure about the mechanics. I haven't been able to do it until a couple of months ago. It's sort of like reverting something to a previous state? I just focus my willpower and reject whatever the injury is. I'm afraid it's not very exciting, but it's useful to have.

I can't fly super high currently, but I had to hide the power most of the time in my old life, so I'm hoping on some new improvements around here ;)

And that is super exciting - I'd love to know how exactly it functions on the technical level, but the fact that it does work like that is already fascinating in itself.

You really think it's exciting? I thought I was going to pale in comparison to all these cool battle powers, but everyone's been really nice about it. I might get a big head, ha ha! Do you have much experience researching other people's abilities? I'd like to know more about it too.

Are you kidding? Especially when everyone has battle abilities, it is vital to have a healer. That's the backbone of an army.

And I wouldn't call it experience - I'm just really curious, haha :) When I get interested in something then it excites me to see how it might function.

[She makes a note to herself to be careful. She isn't sure what his feelings are regarding fey contracts, even unusual ones. She also isn't sure he'd keep it a secret from the faculty, and there's no way she could get her work done if she were under constant surveillance. He sure seems nice, though...]

Well, if you happen to be around when I heal someone's injury, you'll probably get to see it. I can't really plan for that sort of thing, though. Most people rely on Monsieur Ekkehardt and Hieke if they need medical help.

Were either of your parents in the military?

Feels a bit too morbid to wish for somebody to get hurt for such a benign reason. I'll just see what fate has in store.

My father served briefly when he was younger, but he's in the Garrison now. They're Rune Guard, but the structure is based on the US military, so there are a lot of similarities.

Oh, the Rune Guard! I had a hunch when you mentioned the army. That's wonderful! They're the ones that pilot the big robots, right? Like in the shows, but for real?

Exactly! It's a little less colorful in real life than on TV, practical paints and all, but it's just as cool.
