I can confirm being capable of correctly throwing a punch is useful.

Also handy, in the sense it uses the hands.

I try for about an hour of martial arts practice a day.

The use of the term ‘on accident’ leads me to conclude that no, it is not.

An hour minimum. It’s not really my focus. Generally when a wizard is fist fighting a plan has gone wrong.

[ But also it’s three hours in the middle of 24 hours of training, if you count studying and building stuff training. ]

Yes.

Although optimally a punch in the throat is superior, you're less likely to injure your hands.

[ ???????? ]

I usually do punch with magic. Or at least by increasing my physical strength first.

Anyway, that's the philosophy behind my development. I've always found it's better to have no blind spots than be extremely powerful. Being both is better, but if I had to choose one, I'd prefer no weaknesses.

Picking the target of your punch is as important as the technique in some ways. Striking someone in the mouth is an impulse people have, but it's generally not a good idea. Either the chin, throat or eyes are better. A thumb in the eye is especially effective and I highly recommend it. Even if it fails to connect, the psychological effect on the opponent is often significant.

[ ????????????????????? ]

More or less. I'm not much of a fighter, so I like to know how to exploit weaknesses.

[ Not much of a fighter he says. ]

That’s an unreasonable stance.

[ I mean really. ]
