For those who suspect something's up, or want an action thread instead of a text one, Kano makes it pretty obvious what he needs destroyed: anybody happening upon Lumière 303 can't miss the sound of muffled screaming and pounding of what sounds like a child who has been locked up in a closet, because this is obviously how you deal with seeing a kid version of yourself, you kidnap them and throw them in the closet and remove the doorknob to your bedroom so nobody can get inside. ]

If you hate him for something he did then you hate him. If you hate him for being there you should hate me. If you hate both of us... That's too much hate. Why do you hate so much?

What are the short term consequences of locking him in the closet????

The shortest term consequences are that he feels scared and alone and that I wish I could truthfully tell you I'd put you in a tiny tiny box myself. As for the rest of that, I don't know! I've never done this before. Would you like me to make an educated guess?

I still might turn you into a lizard. Then my best guess is as follows: If I take him, he will be free for a short time. I will do my best to help him find some peace and joy. And then the magic will wear off and he will disappear and I will miss him but he'll be far from you. He's made of memories and magic and wishes the way children always are. I have magic and wishes here that will accept him when he disappears, but those memories are not my own. I can't accept them. No one else could but you. I don't know what happens to them if you're not there or if something forces those memories away from the magic and wishes. I don't think you'd die except for maybe that part.

I wonder why it's okay to turn people into lizards, but shoving them into boxes is a big no-no?
I'll tell you right now, though:
that day you took him from, is the last day he knew peace and joy.
He'll be miserable, and he'll make you miserable.
You say he's made of wishes, but can you guess what he wishes for himself?

Or should I tell you outright?

A tiny box is a great deal bigger when you're a lizard and if you were good I would turn you back and you could tell me if you would rather stay a lizard. If he can't know peace and joy and he is hated and hurt and put in a tiny box and you are trying to be smart with me then I would guess he wishes to not exist. He isn't just made of his wishes. He was helped by so many when he came in hurt. I can't weight your wishes against theirs so I will default to mine. I wish for things to be different.
