[ posted some time mid-day on the 6th, because after nearly killing a person, almost dying himself isn't enough of divine retribution, he's also got to see the miserable child that he used to be walking around campus and he wants none of that. there can only be one. ]
Hello, hello~!!
It's Kano~
I'm here with an !!!URGENT!!! job offer for interested parties!
What I'm looking for is hunters and exorcists and the like~
No experience necessary!!!
Willingness is key!!!!!!
Please leave your resume and rates below~
[ He needs somebody who wouldn't mind killing a human child, essentially. For those who suspect something's up, or want an action thread instead of a text one, Kano makes it pretty obvious what he needs destroyed: anybody happening upon Lumière 303 can't miss the sound of muffled screaming and pounding of what sounds like a child who has been locked up in a closet, because this is obviously how you deal with seeing a kid version of yourself, you kidnap them and throw them in the closet and remove the doorknob to your bedroom so nobody can get inside. ]

Action
You can't kill him! He's you! What if there's a paradox and you die!? Not that that's the only reason for not doing it! Let him out!

[ Kano's a terrible person lounging on one of the couches on the third floor when Toki comes barging up here, and he lazily waves his hand at Toki to catch his attention before he heads down the hall screaming at nobody— except maybe the kid locked up in Kano's room, who immediately falls silent when he hears Toki's voice because nOBODY TOLD HIM ANYTHING ABOUT KILLING AND DYING, HE MISSED THAT MEMO. ]
Paradox is a pretty weak reason as it is~ I think that's a risk I'm willing to take?
no subject
It's a risk you're willing to take!? What's wrong with you!?
[A question he's asked often, yet he has never gotten a satisfactory answer to.]
You're searching for people to kill a child! I mean, okay, he might not be an actual child and he's like a mimic or a changeling or something, but we don't know that!
no subject
Why would your first thought be that he's a real child? Those things, they're clearly unnatural.
[ Is this an "innocent until proven guilty" sort of thing? Because look at them. Seems pretty guilty to him. ]
no subject
They act like children! They're cute and they're-
[He's attached to them. This was the plan, wasn't it?]
You're right! It's some kind of infiltration!
no subject
You're catching on~ Doesn't that make more sense? Demons who can look like anything they want... if they can recreate themselves to look like ourselves, we'd naturally hesitate to kill them. How smart! Isn't that ingenious?
no subject
It does make more sense! Of course it's daemons! They have to be destroyed! They've got everyone worried about them when the kids are probably just a distraction and the daemons in charge are already putting their ultimate plan in motion!
no subject
It's a good thing that we realized what's going on, huh, Toki? The timing is perfect too- right after break where everybody's minds are still on vacation, and then something like this happens! The perfect distraction~!! Say, weren't you thinking about learning how to fight, before? How was that coming along?
[ Want to kill a demon child, Toki? Here's your chance. ]
no subject
[He was going to learn to fight, but then New York happened.]
I haven't done any-
[He stops talking and just stares at Kano for a minute while he gets a quick, flashing vision... Green butterflies eating a corpse; a long proboscis sucking up amber fluid, that is certainly not blood, from the body. The corpse is human-like, but has talon claws for fingers. There's Gregorian type chanting... That makes no sense. Whatever, he'll research later. What was happening? Children... daemons... fighting!]
Uh, I haven't started the fighting thing because, after New York, it's- things aren't good for that right now!

Action
That's why Hiccup and Toothless end up charging their way up the dormitory stairs, glares on their faces.]
What the Hel is going on up here?
no subject
The screaming from 303 does not let up. ]
no subject
After a pause, there's a small explosion and the sound of said door shattering into hundreds of charred splinters.]
no subject
You know, because kids aren't important. Least of all this one, which gives a strangled cry of alarm when he hears something breaking and immediately goes quiet, although Hiccup and Toothless may be able to hear where the sound had come from before he'd shut up- it's the closet, and one of the desks has been moved in front of it to bar the door. ]
no subject
Hiccup taps on the closet door, leaning his ear up near it.]
Hey, is it alright if I come in there? I'm a teacher, I'm here to help.
no subject
With teachers... Shuuya's never gone to school; he was supposed to have started the first grade already, but he never went. But he recognizes that teachers are supposed to have the well being of students (he doesn't count as a student, though...) in mind, so he takes a deep breath, holds it, and cracks open the closet door.
And he takes one look at Toothless and slams it shut again. ]
no subject
[If Shuuya peeks through the door again, he'll see that Toothless is just sitting.]
He's basically a big, scaly housecat, alright? He's here to help you. Toothless heard you screaming and wanted to make sure you were okay. That's why I'm up here.
no subject
He's still not so sure, though, just because he's never seen such a large creature in his life, dragon or not, and all of the sudden, this little closet he'd been locked up in feels nice and cozy and most importantly, safe. ]
Um. I'm okay in here.
[ Really he's fine. There's a strange creature on the other side of the door and he thinks he might go into a panic just from that. ]

Nope!!!!!
No can do~

Let him go. He's been through enough.
no subject
I hope you'll never need one~
But you're talking about that kid, right?
This really is the best thing for him, so why don't we leave things be?
no subject
no subject
But it's the familiarity of it all, isn't it?
Because of that, he'll calm down soon enough, don't worry, don't worry~
