Hola, everyone. I'm that one evening TA from Aube, for those who don't know.

I'm sure by now we've all noticed the little issue of extra little ones running around. Now obviously there's no good way to explain all of this, so I thought maybe we could all gather our stories here so we don't get our wires crossed. You know, share names and other details and stuff.

I also thought it might help if some of us could maybe use babysitters in given times. That way there's less of... pretty much all of us running around.

Also, remember that lots of these kids can probably figure out the internet so mind what you say.

I'll go first:

I'm "Señor R.", I'm looking after "Héctor (just Héctor) who also goes by Teto". He is "an entirely normal kid with no special abilities or anything so nothing to worry about there but he's a bit of trouble sometimes and may need wrangling" and I'm "not at all available during the day and could really use someone who is".

You all do the same but replace whatever's in quotations with the appropriate names and details. Then we can sort of reference back here as we go.

I'm Hieke, most of you know me as the nurse. I'm not really looking after my past self as much as trying to find him. He looks almost exactly like me, but he's worse at maintaining a human form. Noticeable tells will be a tail, maybe some horns or wings. Whatever you do, try not to engage with him. It's just...a bad idea.

And I feel like I should probably say right now if there's any issue or injury your kids sustain, please bring them by the infirmary. It's kind of my job to keep everyone doing okay.

he just confused me and like i said, there MAY NOT be a contract!
i didn't notice ANY of the signs! really!

What were the terms? Can you remember anything in particular he mentioned before this maybe-contract of yours happened?

he asked me about forgetting things
and i said i hadn't recently
and then he asked if i noticed something was off BESIDES the kids
and i said no and then i asked if it was a test
and it WAS, so then i said yes

[what. He can't. How does one even deal with that? What kind of deal was made here? Who gets what? Where are the benefits?

He didn't expect it to be in writing (too many daemons out there would likely prefer verbal contracts purely to confuse and leave room for he-said-she-said, but this is something else entirely]

And no threats or promises afterward?

no! just that i got something better than a passing grade
and he's looking forward to what i can do for him!
it's unethical! he should be fired!

and then he said 'congratulations' like it was a big deal!
he said it was a test, but i don't think it was!

Yeah, that sounds an awful lot like a contract.
I don't know if I can cancel it.

he was very unclear!

Of course he'd be unclear. The less you know about the contract the better it is for him.

But I can try to figure something out.

And, you know. Wings, horn, a tail, sharp teeth. Classic stuff like that.

There's a reason that classic imagery exists for daemons.

And maybe you will! I mean. It's not like it's hard, going between forms.
