How do you take care of a cat?
[He could probably google this but y'all are like right there.]

They were going to sacrifice it for a blood ritual so I doubt it was theirs.
Although it could've been.
But either way.

[What the hell kind of field trip did you take these kids on, Michael?]
If it's a normal housecat, then catfood and water should be fine. Buy it some toys to entertain itself with, give it some space to run around in. Most cats like a sunny spot with something soft to lie on.
Don't put anything on a shelf that you don't want to be knocked off.

What kind of toys?
Also surely that's what shelves are for?

Honestly, anything that they can bat around or sit in or hide under. Feathers and string are common toys. Cardboard boxes are usually a favorite. There's also a pet store in town, and I'm sure they have cat toys for sale there.
I can't tell if you're joking or not... So I'm going to warn you that cats like to knock things over. They will do it while staring you dead in the eye. They are shameless.

[I could link you that gif of Michael destroying things and shoving stuff off tables, but I'm sure you'll believe me when I say he's just a big housecat.]
