I... suppose I should introduce myself if I'm new, right? That'd be the polite thing to do.
My name is Kisara and I'm not that interesting, I promise. I also apologize if we meet in person and my English is a bit... rusty, it's not my first language and I'm still working on some words and phrases that are a little strange when translated. Not that... we don't have anything weird when translated from my native language, too.
With... that out of the way, is there any particular languages that are spoken here frequently other than obviously French and English? I didn't get to travel much before here so I'm always curious about how other countries are?
I'm rambling, sorry. Just wanted to do that introduction and apologize in advance?

Kisara. [He doesn't look at her yet, still looking around.] If you think it's dangerous, try to focus on your powers. I know you have them. You wouldn't be here withou--
[Behind a tree branch shakes, rustling the leaves. That's Keth's cue to whril around and raise his sword. But for now, he's still waiting and seeing.]
no subject
Once he's speaking again, she's pausing with a small frown. Focus on her powers? She doesn't even know what they are, so how is that supposed to help?]
I don't know how, I don't even know what they are...
no subject
[Still hidden from sight by mist and trees, a figure of some sort sends a fist-sized rock flying in their direction. Frowning, he side steps. Could be worse, all things considered. Still seems a low-key enough threat that he doesn't have to do anything about it yet.
These may or may not be famous last words.]
no subject
It wasn't too hard to recall most of them and she's ducking down to crouch when that rock is coming in their direction while taking a deep breath. She can feel something pulling at the back of her mind but so far nothing is coming of it.
How to even access that sort of thing? She hasn't a clue other than if this thing gets more violent than it already has.]
no subject
Who's there?
[His voice is a little more tense now -- is the fog supposed to help them escape or provide better cover for an attack?
Well the answer comes soon enough in the form of a crossbow bolt being shot straight at them.]
no subject
Her attention shifts back towards Keith for a moment when his blade ignites, that's... certainly neat and not expected. But any bit of admiration doesn't last long the moment that bolt is coming towards them and evidently that's about a good enough reason and time for a switch to be flipped.
Most kinds of shifting would be slower and with obvious changes in stages, but this isn't remotely the same thing when casting off a form that isn't actually yours. Which might be why the bolt is being met with a grouping of electricity to strike it down.
Of course that's just the beginning as the now huge honking dragon is where Kisara used to be and that roar doesn't sound remotely pleasant.
Hopefully whoever is in the fog is going to book it soon because there's no mercy to be found as after the roar the area in front of them is getting blasted with a continual stream of the same electricity as before.]
no subject
Okay so this is a thing. One second Kisara's there, next thing there's a giant dragon shooting electricity from its mouth. Keith would say that he isn't surprised because between the "being treated different" and "losing time" parts of her story, he suspected there was some kinda lycanthropy-esque thing going on, but....
You know. This dragon is freaking enormous and sounds hecka pissed off. Whether he's learned some kind of lesson from this is a giant mystery, but for now it's definitely safe to say the bolt is basically vaporized and whatever fired it in the first place lets out some horrible screech when it's struck. One could say it was obliterated, but that's more an Exodia thing.]
...Kisara?
[Tentative as he looks towards the dragon as he isn't sure just how much control she has over this form.]
no subject
Particularly given there's some crackling electricity beginning to form around her maw again, even if it's still mostly closed for the time being.
Not the best situation to be in.]
no subject
Kisara, you have to wake up. Focus.
[Does he think that's going to work? Lolno. That's obviously a cliche from bad movies or whatever, but trying to keep the atmosphere calm seems like a start while he scans the area for an immediate out which doesn't involve aggravating her with fire.
But speaking of not aggravating the dragon, it doesn't seem like everyone's gotten the memo on that. From wherever they heard the screech from, there's a second and third howl of rage followed by a blast of dark magical energy.]
no subject
Uuuuuntil the idiots over in the unseen fog section of things decide it's a great idea to hurl magic at a fucking dragon. Who is merely shaking it off and turning her attention immediately to where it came from and just blasting the hell out of the area with a nice stream of electricity a good few feet long to make sure she gets whatever is attacking her out there.
Which might also include the formerly grounded dragon pushing herself into the air to be even more intimidating than she already was.
Along with more electricity forming around her maw again with a low, very threatening intended growling rumble. But at least she's ignoring him for now.]
no subject
He'd have preferred to not resort to transforming himself, but he's a lot faster in his wolf form and ...well, survival > personal reservations.
They're going to need to Talk after this later......]
no subject
Thaaat's not good.
no subject
Except that there's now someone else there who's pinging some familiarity in her mind, not that it's stopping the low warning rumble. If they're going to mess with her, then she's ready to fight at a moment's notice.
Or just nuke the place, she hadn't quite decided on that decision just yet.]
no subject
No shit.
[PEAK ELOQUENCE. Though he does add rather quickly:]
She's a student. Not an Outlander. Can you calm her or do you need reinforcements?
no subject
Yeah, I know. Not the first time I've run into her like this. Drop the sword, it's only going to make things worse.
Kisara? it's Hiccup. You know me. You can calm down, I won't hurt you.
no subject
At least the electricity has mostly stopped and the only real present danger is her tail swiping from side to side behind her. Not out of real malice, but hard enough to where a hit from it would probably cause someone some harm.
But she's not actively being hostile still, so that's a plus.]
no subject
Fine.
[He raises the sword and runs his left hand over the blade. Then, like he'd been holding an invisible sheath, the sword disappears.]
If she trusts you, then I'll leave the two of you alone.
[God knows how complicated dragon whispering is. Either way, he doesn't think his presence as a stranger is gonna be of much help. In Kisara's direction, he holds his hands up so she can clearly see that they're empty.]
It's gonna be okay. Sorry. Let's talk later.
[And tentatively, he'll take a few steps back, checking for her reaction there. Definitely not interested in sparking another show of electricity with anything unexpected.]
no subject
[Hiccup's actually mad at Kieth, as he has avery good idea of his role in all this. He keeps his voice and posture even, however. No sense in doing anything that might set Kisara off. He waits until Keith leaves.]
No weapons, no threats. Kisara. It's just you, me, and Toothless. Nothing to worry about.
no subject
Right. Just them. She can trust them, she knows this.
Which is the exact reason she's lowering herself to lay on the ground properly before the switch is hit again to where it's right back to human form. Luckily with some nonsense where she doesn't have to worry about clothing after the fact.
Her normal being out of it for a bit isn't present this time and instead she's just sitting on the ground and narrowing her eyes a bit at the two. Someone has gained some sort of control over this mess.]
What was that?
no subject
[Even disregarding having known Kisara in a previous incarnation, Toothless could smell the fact that she was a dragon a mile away.]
I was planning on telling you once you got settled in and had more of a reason to believe me. I just didn't expect this.
no subject
Nor is it making her look any less irritated by all of it.]
Turned into a dragon. How would you know that? Do I smell like one or something? [Kisara, Kisara no.]
no subject
The last time was almost a millennium ago, and the girl it happened to looked, sounded, and according to Toothless smelled exactly like you.
[Toothless gives an affirmative growl. Exactly like her. It was weird.]
no subject
She's chewing on her lower lip while her mind goes into five million different places and possibilities...]
I don't... know how that's possible. Also, um, if I'm just a shifter then I'd just smell like a normal human, wouldn't I?
no subject
And normally you would. If you turned into drake, which you don't. You turn into an actual, godsdamned dragon. Everything gets a little weird when dragons get involved.
[There'd been a theory tossed around the Berk that the reason she smelled like a dragon instead of a human was because she was a dragon that had turned into a human rather than the other way around, but considering the sources of that particular idea Hiccup had mostly ignored it.]
