some kind anon made me look really cool on the network the other day
so i have to set the record straight
that flippy thing is surrounded by a whole bunch of me being the least cool dude on the planet so here it is

It's possible you may have an adverse reaction to certain types due to your unique physiology, I'll concede. On a cursory Occam's razor approach I'd say it's more likely it's simply not a talent you possess. There's a reason mage clans marry selectively- it's not a common gift and most are trained from a very young age.

But if you like I can come up with a methodology to test the hypothesis.

That does look unpleasant though. What sort of spell were you trying to cast? The simplest method to test it would be to have me try to cast the same thing on yourself and see what happens.

Shame we don't have a control group, but you're just too unique.

Miscast healing spells can be damaging, so that's not too conclusive. I'm not familiar with Orihime's power, so I'm still missing too much data. There's an awful lot of factors involved.

My proposed methodology remains the same-
We'll try something similar, if not identical if Orihime will allow me to study her power, cast by me. Best case scenario that will heal the burn and confirm it was a simple miscast. Easy to overcome with training. Worst case scenario you do have an adverse reaction and it hurts a little more.

Well, actually the worst case scenario is the damage is multiplicative rather than additive and your hand rots off, but I consider that extremely unlikely.

I already know a bit- mostly I accelerate natural healing functions. We can see what we get, just don't get mad at me if your hand becomes evil and chases me around.
