You know, at first I thought I had you all wrong. I thought these April pranks were cool and that you finally understood stuff. I thought we could have a good time and we wouldn't even leave any corpses behind. But noooo. I mean, come on, you guys switch bodies and stuff it's "just a prank" and "all in good fun" but when I want to make a friend I'm "evil" and "a danger to everyone around me". You guys are lame. This isn't a fun trick at all. >::(

I've had good friends. Best friends. We did friend things like get to know each other and have fun and I give gifts.

You don't know me. You didn't know them. I knew them. I knew them better than anyone could ever know their friends. I gave them everything they ever wanted and more. I made them happy when nothing else and no one else could.

[ He does pity them, in a way. Whether it's out of a concerted attempt to ignore their actions or because they don't know how to process it...they do seem to be rather more attached than most. ]

Conversation that doesn't involve granting their deepest wishes and desires and trading you their body.

But you know, some of my kind don't even talk to their hosts! So I'm doing better.

41 years old.

I've had more amiable conversations in four decades of life than you've had in several centuries which is telling.

And that's different! You're... human... adjacent. Your species is meant to do all that stuff. That's why some of my hosts call me, you know! Socialization is a "human need".

You might as well admit you have poor social skills.

But that's not true! I think I'm very good. Look how much talking is happening now. And I'm very good at making my hosts feel better and knowing just what they need.

All that aside possessing people isn't actually an acceptable form of friendship especially if you end up consuming them in the process.

[ Is he really going to have to explain the complex entanglements of things like 'even if it feels good, it may not be good for you?' How to explain that when people are in pain or hurting, they look for other things to fill the gap, and other people...

Well you've experienced the ones who let you in on purpose.

These are people who didn't want you there and didn't ask. Having someone merged with your body, being able to control it and listen to your thoughts, is invasive. Unpleasant. Even if you think it's fine, others may not.
